Floating Death
This editorial illustration shows the metamorphism of a skull and floating plastic bag in the ocean. I hope that viewers recognise how similar it looks to a jellyfish, as thousands of marine animals choke and die from ingesting plastic, and many more are being slowly poisoned by the dioxin and other pollutants introduced by this mass of plastic.
It broke my heart when they had to euthanise a stranded whale in Norway as it was completely clogged with plastic. It wouldn't swim back out to sea. They eventually just put it out of its misery. Single use plastic has to stop.
